Several types of heating elements can be used for this application. The CSC2 heating cables are the most frequently used, but the FTS0 cable or other products of the FLEXDRAIN series as well as custom-made elements can also be used. The use of aluminium heating foil is especially interesting for heat pump producers.
FCH – heater for compressor crankcases
It is a compact line of heaters, which can be easily and quickly installed directly onto most compressors. It is entirely waterproof and is fitted with a tin-plated copper braiding for better resistance.
CSC – CSC/T – CSC/I – heating cables for drainpipes
CSC, CSC/t and CSC/I heaters are designated for placement inside drainpipes serving for water outflow when the cooling medium in cooling chambers is melting. They are in operation only during the defrosting cycles. We´re talking about a special construction of the heating cable, where there is a regressive copper conductor integrated into the heating cord. The termination at the blind end and the connection of the powering cable are insulated by a silicone mould. It is standardly supplied in lengths from 1 to 25m.
CSC2 – heater for drainpipes
The CSC2 heater consists of a heating cable with a cold feed, fully integrated with the heating section on one side. The start of the cold feed is marked by a sign on the cable. The blind end is insulated by a vulcanized silicone mould. The cable is equipped with a double silicone insulation, which is why it is resistant to temperatures from -70°C to 200°C.
CSC2K – heater with thermostat for drainpipes
The CSC2K heating cable is based on the CSC2 type, but is furthermore equipped with a built-in thermostat at the blind end of the heating cable. The heater is designated for placement in collecting tubs of heat pumps and cooling chambers. The built-in thermostat initiates the heating according to the environment temperature so that the heater can function independently on the other devices.
FTS0 – heating cable with constant output and silicone insulation
This type of cable is always powered from one side, and it can be shortened at installation by multiples of 0.5m to a desired length. Therefore it is most frequently applied in repairs and piece production. It is supplied in three output classes - 25, 40, 50 W/m, and with the option of tin-plated copper braiding.
A – alluminium heating foil
The heating element consists of a heating cable with PVC or silicone insulation. This cable is positioned between two alluminium foils. The alluminium heating foil is produced on comission. The dimensions and other parametres of the fabric are proposed according to specific requirements of the comission. One side of the foil can be self-sealing.
