FLEXTAPE heating belts®

Heating belts of the RP, RS and RV series are belts with PVC, silicone or glass insulation. Yet again, heating cords with the proper insulation are the foundation. They are manufactured as done pieces terminated and with cold feeds. They are useful mostly in repeated production, where the factory termination of a larger amount of pieces is an advantage. A heating belt has a flat cross-section, so the heat transfer proceeds more conveniently than on a larger heat-transfering area. The cold feed is on one side.

RP – RP/T – RP/I – heating belts with PVC insulation

This heating belt is mostly used as an anti-freeze protection for pipelines, but also to maintain temperatures under 60°C. It has as insulation of high-temperature PVC and a simple installation thanks to its high flexibility. It can have any output up to 20 W/m and is most frequently constructed for a supply voltage of 230V or 400V, but it can change on request. The heating belt must be controlled by a thermostat or other regulator. more

RS – RS/T – RS/I – heating belts with silicone insulation

The RS thermal-belt is mostly used to maintain temperatures up to 140°C. It is equipped with a silicone insulation and is entirely waterproof. It can have any output up to 60W/m and is most frequently constructed for a supply voltage of 230V or 400V, but it can change on request. The heating belt must be controlled by a thermostat or other regulator. more

RSV – anti-condensation heaters for electromotors

Electromotors become hot during operation and then cool down after being turned off. If the environment is humid, this humidity will condensate in the motor. A short-circuit can then occur after turning it on again. To avoid the condensation it is necessary to keep the motor temperature a few degrees above the ambient temperature. more

RV – RVR – heating belts with glass, resp. silicious fabric insulation with a 450°C, resp. 900°C resistance

Heating belts braided with a glass or silicious fabric are mostly used in laboratories and industry, where a quick heating to a high temperature is required. Belts with a glass fabric insulation resist temperatures up to 450°C, and those with a silicious fabric insulation even up to 900°C! These belts though, are not resistant to moisture, therefore they have to be used in a dry environment with a special attention to the safety measures. We strongly recommend the use of temperature regulation.   more
