Connecting and terminating kits

Connecting and terminating kits are used for the termination of heating cables supplied in length. This is a summary of kits for each individual cable type:

Installation accessories

FX/AL, FX/PE, FX/FG – Adhesive tapes – aluminium, polyethylene and fiberglass

Adhesive tapes serve for the attechment of heating cables onto pipelines or any heated device. The polyethylene or fiberglass tapes are wound around the pipeline along with the heating cable and the aluminium tape seals the cable length-wise for a better heat transfer. 

 

FX/GI – Insulation bushing

The insulation bushing protects a heating cable or cold feed from damage at the pass through the sheet metal of the thermal insulation. It is a plastic bushing screwed onto a stainless steel sheet metal of 60 x 60mm with fixing holes.

  

FX/LB – Warning label

The self-sealing label is used to mark a heated piece of equipment. It is mostly pasted onto the tin-plating of the thermal insulation. Pipelines are marked on every 5m.

 

FX/JB – Connection box

A plastic or metal box for the connection of heating cables. The version, housing, bushing and screw terminal configuration depends on the application.

 

FX/JBX – EEx e connecting box

A connection box for connecting an auto-regulating heating cable or a HC with a constant output in environments with an explosion risk. It is made of shock-proof polyesther reinforced by glass fibres. It is equipped with bushings for heating cables and a screw terminal. Housing: IP 66 Non-explosion version: EEx e II T6 A

 

FX/JBB – Box or thermostat holder

A universal holder for connection boxes and thermostats. It is made of stainless steel sheet metal and is mounted to pipelines by a pair of stainless steel folding straps.

 

FX/FXT – Fixation strap for floor heating

A galvanized steel strap with imprinted tongues for the fixation of heating cables. It is used when laying floor heating, outdoor surface heating, eventually when fixing heating cables to technological devices, such as tanks, scuttles etc.

 

FX/CRT – holder for hanging heating cables into drains

A stainless steel holder for hanging heating cables into gutter drains. It protects the heating cable in the place of passage from the gutter into the drain and holds the loose cable. The blind end of the cable is usually down by the bend or the outfall into sewage.
