It is a special construction of heating cable, where a return copper conductor is integrated into the heating cord. The termination of the blind end and the connection of the supply cable is insulated by a silicone mould. Standardly it is supplied in lengths from 1 to 25m.
CSC heating cables are produced in these modifications:
CSC - heating cable with silicone insulation
CSC/T - heating cable with a tin-plated copper braiding serving as mechanical protection and grounding
CSC/I - heating cable with a stainless steel braiding serving as mechanical protection and grounding
CSC | CSC/T - CSC/I | |
Maximal output | 50 W/m | |
Output tolerance | ±10 % | |
Supply voltage | do 500 V | |
Inner diameter | 5,7 mm | 6 mm |
Diameter tolerance | +0,2/-0,1 mm
Heating element | resistance wire Cu-Ni or Ni-Cr
Heating element insulation | silicone rubber
Blind end insulation | waterproof silicone mould
Max. permitted surface temperature | 200 °C
Min. permitted surface temperature | -70 °C |
The construction of the CSC heating cable enables it to adapt to custom parametres; for the majority of applications in pipeline heating, the CSC2 cable is suitable.
