Used elements

Products of the FLEXFLOOR series are the foundation of the heating system. They are serial resistance heating cables.

Some heating cables of the FLEXTRACE series are used for heating the elements draining these surfaces.

Regarding the character of use, the heating cables are always equipped with protective braiding and an outer housing. We separate them into:

  • heating cable loops,
  • cables with a regressive conductor,
  • heating mats,
  • cables for draining elements.

KYCY - KYX - heating cable loops

Powered from both ends, manufactured in various lengths and outputs, most frequently for 230V and 400V feed, with a 3m cold feed on both ends.

They are heating cables of the KYCY, KYX type.

For various lengths of heating cable loops we use different ohmic values, which enables us to prepare a loop of any length, output and powering voltage. Standardly, the heating cables are supplied terminated in lengths for a maximum nominal output [W/m2] and for a powering voltage of 230V or 400V. If the heating loop is designated for a 400V powering voltage, it is possible to switch the connection of the loops into a triangle or star and thus regulate the output of the heating.

KYCYR - heating cable with a regressive conductor

It is powered from only one end. The regressive conductor allows us to create an ending on one side of the cable, called a "blind end", by connecting it to the heating element. The heating cable is then powered only on the other side, where a cold feed is established. This construction simplifies the installation of the heating cable, however, it is paid by the higher price of the heating cable.

KYCYR cables are supplied prepared with a cold feed of 2.5m, in a variety of lengths, nominal outputs for a powering voltage of 230V. The 20W/m series is the most frequently used for the heating of outdoor surfaces.

The installation of KYCY, KY and KYCYR heating circuits offers a large variability and adaptibility to the shape of  the heated object. By changing the distance between the HC, we can elegantly change the areal density of the installed output.

Heating mats

Heating cables attached in advance to the holding element, such as nets, foils, eventually metal strips. They have a fixed width and various lengths. Mats are more easily installed, but less flexible shapewise and have a constant areal output density. They are mostly used for smaller and regular areas.

FSG - FTC 30 - heating cables for draining elements

Would the draining gutters and gulleys freeze, the water flowing off the heated surface would remain on it, and then freeze after turning the heating cables off. This state is inadmissible, which is why it is also necessary to protect the water in the draining gutters and gulleys from freezing. Heating cables with a 30W/m output are used for this, with the FSG a FTC types being the most suitable.
