The company entered the road of complete self-sufficiency with a limited need for cooperation. It has gradually invested large amounts of capital into machine purchases, new technology and employee training. It was the first furniture company in the Czech Republic to introduce a high-tech method of polyester polish application to MDF with increased gloss.
The system used for heating of the plant was quite fragmented because of the gradual expansion, combining gas furnaces with wood waste furnaces. Consequently, during the final phases of the construction in 2005-2008 it was decided to modernize the heating system, including the supply of heat for the drying section of the polish application unit. The main goal was to maximize the utilization of wood waste from production, make operation more effective and to achieve higher flexibility in combination of different heat sources.
REVOS collaborated with the architect of the heating technology to design and implement the operation of all heat sources:
A – main source – wood waste furnace + gas furnaces
B – main source – wood waste furnace + gas furnace
C – backup source – gas furnaces + heating operation
D – backup source – gas furnaces + heating operation
The heating systems of the older and newer parts of the plant are interconnected by a pipeline joining the two main sources. Such design allows to operate both sections from one source or to combine the two sources as needed.
Regulation was for the first time provided by a touch panel PP220 with a system of X20 inputs and outputs from Bernecker & Rainer. Each heat source is regulated by its own Power Panel PP220 communicating with an island of X20 inputs and outputs. Experience has shown this is a correct and practical design with several advantages for the user.
The main advantage of the described setup is the availability of a user-friendly interface with a touch panel directly in the engineering rooms. The same visualization is available on any PC connected to the company network, or even remotely via Internet. Each Power Panel is connected to the company network via an Ethernet interface, becoming an integral part of the company network. Remote VNC access to the PP panel can be launched from any PC. The X20 input and output system has also fully realized its advantages. It is highly modular, flexible with minimal costs and construction needs.
The management of HANÁK NÁBYTEK thus has full control of the efficiency and reliability of the heating system without the need for complex control stations typical for other operation systems.
